A well-crafted resume can take your professional profile to the next level. But what if you don’t have a polished CV ready? No need to worry - LinkedIn makes it easy. The platform allows you to generate and download a resume directly from your profile, and the result is a clean, professional document.
In the guide below, we’ll walk you through how to download your LinkedIn CV using both the desktop web version and the LinkedIn mobile app.
Step 1: Go to **https://www.linkedin.com** and log in with your username and password.
Step 2: Click the “Me” icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage and click on the View Profile
Step 3: Click the white “More” button below your job title. This will prompt a dropdown menu with the options “Share Profile” and “Save to PDF”.
Step 4: From the dropdown menu, select “Save to PDF” to generate a resume version of your LinkedIn profile. Depending on your browser and operating system, a download prompt will appear - usually at the bottom of your screen. Simply click on the prompt or open the file directly from your Downloads folder to view your resume.
Note: If you don’t see a pop-up and nothing is downloaded, make sure pop-ups are not blocked in your browser settings.
Currently, LinkedIn’s mobile app does not allow you to directly download your resume as a PDF (the “Save to PDF” option is only available on the desktop/browser version). To download your resume on a smartphone, you’ll need to open LinkedIn in your mobile web browser (such as Chrome or Safari) and then follow the same steps outlined above for desktop browsers.
