Our community now features OpenTalent Premium, a new service designed to help you find and connect with relevant candidates from our community of over 19,000 professionals. While we recognize that messaging is an excellent means of fostering connections and strengthening the community, it is essential to put guidelines in place that respect our users and ensure a positive experience for all. As we care strongly about maintaining a high-quality experience for our community, we urge you to follow these guidelines when interacting with other members. Not doing so may result in messaging time-outs, or revoking the messaging service. Thank you for your understanding and support!

  1. Be respectful: Treat other members with respect and kindness, even if you disagree with them. Avoid using language that is derogatory or offensive, and don't make personal attacks.
  2. Avoid spamming: Don't send the same message multiple times or send irrelevant messages to other members. This can be seen as spamming and may result in your account being blocked or suspended.
  3. Keep it professional: Remember that you are communicating within a professional context, so maintain a professional demeanour. Avoid using slang or overly casual language.
  4. Respect privacy: Don't share personal information or contact details of other community members without their permission. This includes phone numbers, email addresses, and social media handles.
  5. Stay on topic: Keep your messages relevant to the discussion at hand. Avoid going off-topic or discussing unrelated subjects.
  6. Be clear and concise: Make sure your message is easy to understand and gets your point across. Avoid using jargon or overly technical language.
  7. Use appropriate tone and language: Be mindful of your tone and language when messaging. Avoid using all caps or excessive exclamation points, which can come across as aggressive or rude.
  8. Report inappropriate behavior: If you encounter any inappropriate behavior, such as harassment, bullying, or hate speech, report it to the community moderator or platform administrator.

We are implementing a flagging mechanism to report individuals who do not comply with the aforementioned guidelines. If you are flagged multiple times, you will no longer be able to message other candidates.
